About Invest Bright

Our Mantra:

Making financial and business literacy simplified and accessible.

What we Do:

We introduce.

Middle schools and Elementary schools often don’t cover topics in business, economics, and finance compared to other subjects. We, at Invest Bright, have a goal to provide students an opportunity to get an introduction into the world of business, economics, and finance as potential interest areas. Undoubtedly, students learn about the enterprise-driven society they live in. Invest Bright is the only educational organization that caters to middle school and elementary school students.

We empower.

We focus on simplifying financial and business literacy for students. We empower children to be confident in higher-stake situations by fostering a fun and low-stake learning environment. Students can also explore fields like life sciences, tech, and energy while learning integral life skills in the process through our innovative pedagogic approaches and unique programs such as investment strategy competitions, our newsletter and case study competitions.

We encourage.

We encourage students to develop core knowledge and skills in business, economics, and finance. Having a good knowledge of finance enables students to gain awareness of responsible money management practices while developing entrepreneurial mindsets. Responsible mindsets are espeically important in today’s toxic stock market environment of market manipulation driven by social media “hype” and a “pump and dump” philosophy.

We build future entrepreneurs, investors, and economists.

Going through our programs, young children learn lifelong lessons about growth, leadership, and the long-term benefits of hard work and dedication.

Our Programs

Our publication provides a Gen-Z perspective of today’s technology driven business world for the Gen-Z. The Sand Hill Gazette publishes articles catered towards students in middle school where we simplify current business, economics, and stock market events around the globe. Our articles help our readers develop a strong awareness of the enterprise-driven world around them. Undoubtedly, readers can become better investors by reading our publication, especially as the markets become more accessible to them.

Business and Finance Clubs in Palo Alto (View Gunn Finance and Paly StartUp)

We sponsor and help run a network of business and finance clubs exclusively for Palo Alto’s high schools and middle schools (coming in Fall 2022). Our clubs in Palo Alto work together to promote business, economics, and financial literacy in Palo Alto through our school communities and events!

EmpowHER: Girls in Business

The EmpowHER Camp is a two week long summer camp meant to introduce young girls to concepts in business, economics, and finance via engaging guest speaker activities, innovative programming, and hands-on activities.

Our Story:

We are a group of motivated high school students mostly based in Silicon Valley (with team members in NC, IL, and MO) driven to make finance and business literacy simplified and accessible with a strong commitment to excellence and quality. After participating in several high ticket investment and business competitions like Wharton’s Investment Competition, the Global Team Investment Competition, FBLA, and DECA, managing our own portfolios, and after seeing the lack of non-STEM opportunities for middle school students, our team started Invest Bright in the Bay Area during the summer of 2021. Today, Invest Bright is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization consisting of dedicated students who help hundreds of middle school and elementary school students develop a passion for business, finance, and economics.
